WHB CELEBRATES SEMARAK MERDEKA 2026

SHAH ALAM, 27 AUGUST 2026 - Yesterday, our WHB team came together at the Corporate Gallery for the Sambutan Program Semarak Merdeka 2026, a moment to mark Malaysia's 69th National Day under this year's theme, Malaysia MADANI: Kesejahteraan Dinikmati, and celebrate what binds us together as one people.

Our Group CEO, YBrs. Encik Ahmad Zaki Ahmad Zainuddin, and the management team joined us to start the day right, with the singing of Negaraku and the recitation of the Ikrar Rukun Negara, setting the tone for what was to come.

Two initiatives reflected where we're headed. The first was the launch of the Ecopod, a partnership between WHB and Selangor FC's Green Goals recycling challenge, running from September 2026 through June 2027. It's a practical way to embed sustainability into the organisations we work with.

Then came the Perarakan Semarak Merdeka convoy, where colleagues affixed the Jalur Gemilang to their vehicles and drove off together, carrying the spirit of patriotism out into the community.

Moments like these remind us of something simple but important. The values that hold us together, unity, collaboration and genuine care for this place we call home, belong in our work every single day, not just on National Day.
