SHAH ALAM, 25th February 2025 - Worldwide Medivest Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Worldwide Holdings Berhad, is taking the lead in enhancing emergency preparedness across Selangor through a strategic partnership with the Selangor State Government. As the appointed implementing agency, Worldwide Medivest is responsible for supplying Automated External Defibrillator (AED) devices and providing essential training on their usage at state government offices, government agency buildings, and local authority premises.
This life-saving initiative was officially launched at the Selangor State Secretariat Office (SUK), with a handover ceremony officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Chief Minister of Selangor. He was joined by YB Jamaliah Jamaluddin, Selangor’s EXCO for Public Health and Environment, who witnessed the handover of AED units to YB Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin, Selangor State Secretary, along with District Officers and Presidents of Local Authorities.
Driven by the Selangor State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), the AED installation project reflects a proactive effort to improve emergency response systems and ensure timely intervention during cardiac emergencies within government premises. The involvement of Worldwide Medivest marks a key example of how private-sector expertise is helping to build a safer, more responsive public health environment in Selangor.
